The Executive Office includes the Office of the President and CEO, the Executive Vice President, the Chief of Staff and the External Affairs Division. The Executive Office provides the vision, mission and goals for the School Construction Authority.
We have excellent opportunities in the Executive Office for a for Manager, Operations EEO who will report directly to the Director of EEO, the successful candidate will: conduct confidential investigations of alleged EEO violations; process reasonable accommodation requests; deliver training to staff; assist in the development of EEO statistics and reports; and provide support on employment matters. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day management support, and work closely with the Office of General Counsel and Human Resources.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct confidential internal investigations into claims of EEO discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
- Conduct thorough intake interviews regarding potential EEO violations, provide guidance on complaint procedures, and draft initial summaries.
- Strategically plan investigations with clear timelines and appropriate benchmarks.
- Obtain and evaluate evidence, including party interviews, in a thorough and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files with all activity, correspondence, investigation reports, evidence, and memoranda.
- Draft final reports summarizing investigative steps, findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Maintain a log of all EEO cases.
Process reasonable accommodation requests from employees and contingent staff.
- Ensure effective communication between applicants or employees and the EEO Office at every stage of the request and throughout the reasonable accommodation process.
- Evaluate reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with the SCA’s policies, including reviewing requests and supporting documentation.
- Maintain a log of all reasonable accommodation requests.
- Liaise with staffing agencies to handle reasonable accommodation requests from contingent staff.
Deliver Training to Staff
- Assist in developing training materials on EEO, Sexual Harassment, and Reasonable Accommodations.
- Conduct in-person training to a staff of 900+ employees, effectively conveying information that reflects the SCA’s EEO policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling and tracking data related to training.
Data Analysis and Trend Identification
- Gather and analyze statistical information to identify trends in employment practices, discrimination claims, and workforce demographics.
- Assist in developing proactive strategies to address potential issues and improve organizational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in EEO, employment law, reasonable accommodations and/or related fields.
- JD from an accredited law school is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Current understanding of federal, state, and local employment and civil service laws required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse constituency, and to present, influence, negotiate, and effectively coach employees to use best practices for maximum effectiveness.
- Ability to work independently and respond to time-sensitive issues.
- Public service, government, or non-profit employment experience.
- Background in mediation or alternative dispute resolution.
Salary dependent upon experience: $91,193.00 to $120,000.00.
